Todd wanted to honor the full, generous cut of the originals — the double-breasted, A-line silhouette is vented in the back for easy movement, with a belt to cinch things in. It’s made entirely from a soft wool fabric in a striking mustard-and-navy plaid. There’s also a high, dramatic collar that’s perfect for turning up against the cold: the classic officer’s coat was issued to protect its wearer from inclement weather right up until the end of the 20th century.
